Affordable nails at home

Just a few years ago getting my nails done at the salon used to be a ritual of mine. When my schedule got too busy and couldn't find time to get to the salon I had to learn how to do them myself. I was never a huge fan of the press on nails since they always popped off within a few days but; with more practice I have grown to love glue on nails amongst other types of nails. These are just a few of my favorite places I like to get my nail supplies/sets that I recommend for doing nails at home on a budget!

Some of my favorite glue on nails are these basic nails from Amazon! Legit so good and you get quite a few pairs. I love basics because you can wear them with almost everything and don't have to worry about the design clashing! They have so many different nail styles/shapes and colors to choose from.

Another place I love to buy press on nails is SHEIN. 💅 Legit they are so so cheap but sometimes you don't always get what you think you ordered. Overall I've had a fairly good experience with their nails and they have held up quite well with slight modification. I do suggest topping with a top coat so that the print doesn't wear off. Their nails do not come with glue but they do come with press on sticky tabs if you like those otherwise you will need your own glue.

Similar to the 123 go nails by enailcouture; is the modelones kit or beetles kit which comes with everything you need to get started. ( I personally use a full hand lamp for full hand curing instead of doing one by one but the little lamp is all you will need to adhere the nail to your nail bed.) What I love most about this type of nail kit is they last if you do the prep right plus you can fill them as they grow out! You basically can do any design that you want; add dip, gel polish, nail wraps, gems, legit anything you want. I will do posts later on including these products and how I do them! 

Modelones set- the nails are pre etched so you do not have to etch the inside of these before applying to the nail.

Full size LED lamp- A full size led/uv lamp is a must when using gel polish. I prefer a LED lamp or UV because the dry time is much faster. There are so many on the internet but this is the one I have and really enjoy. Personally its really about whichever one you like best because they are all very similar. Some will have digital timers and others don't. Some have more lights which allows for a faster cure time but overall they all preform pretty much the same. I like this one because I can choose how long to cure for with the digital timer and display. When I put my hand inside the timer will automatically start and I can remove the bottom plate if needed.  Straight up, it's affordable and gets the job done. 

Sun LED nail lamp

Gel polish is a MUST over traditional polish if you are looking for longevity! Legit I will never go back to regular polish again. You will need a full hand nail lamp but it is totally worth the small investment. There are tons of gel polishes on the market but I always love the kits because you get a little bit of everything. Two of my favorite brands are modelones and beetles since they are so affordable and I feel you get the most options for your money.
